North Korea Unveils Its Most Powerful Missile Yet — the Hwasong-20

During a grand military parade celebrating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Workers’ Party, North Korea unveiled its Hwasong-20, the country’s most powerful missile to date.

The new weapon, described as the most advanced in North Korea’s arsenal, was presented in front of President Kim Jong Un during the ceremony held on Friday in Pyongyang.

The parade also featured a display of other cutting-edge weapons, including long-range ballistic missiles and combat drones, underscoring the country’s continued investment in military modernization.

A special moment of the event was dedicated to showcasing the Hwasong-20, which North Korea’s state news agency KCNA described as “a strategic weapon of unmatched destructive power.”

The missile was carried on a massive 11-wheeled transporter erector launcher (TEL), highlighting its size and complexity.

According to reports, the Hwasong-20 is capable of striking targets up to 15,000 kilometers away, meaning it could theoretically reach anywhere in the United States.
It boasts a thrust of around 200 tons, equivalent to the combined power needed to lift 130 cars off the ground at once.
